Dwayne grew up in South Carolina, USA. He attended Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri. In May 1997, he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Bible and Missions. He married Valerie Eaker in August 1995. Their son Austin was born in 1997. Dwayne was ordained in March 1999 in Raleigh, North Carolina, at his internship church Mid-Way Baptist Church. He arrived in Australia in January 2002 with his wife and son. He has worked and pastored in several ministries on the East Coast of Australia. In 2016, the family moved to Western Australia with a desire to plant more churches. For six years, they lived in Dalyellup, WA. Dwayne served as an Associate Pastor in a local church. In May of 2018, he received his Master of Theological Studies from Louisiana Baptist Theological Seminary. In May of 2021, he also received his Master of Divinity from Louisiana Baptist Theological Seminary. In February 2022, God began to call Dwayne and Valerie to move to the Alkimos region to plant a new church. On 7 August 2022 Haven Baptist Church became a reality with it's very first service. Dwayne enjoys wood-working and freshwater fishing.
